JD Jorgenson, is a wood fire potter living in St. Joseph, Minnesota. He is a functional potter using local clay and porcelain. He draws inspiration from nature and his surroundings, incorporating them into the work. His specific interests lie in the raw clay, how its surface changes do to atmosphere, flame and ash to create a new form.
